DataHub is the data backbone of the Vendably platform. It ingests your product catalogue from your store or other sources, transforms and optimises the data, and distributes it to every connected channel, from Google Shopping to affiliate networks. Every other capability in Vendably depends on DataHub having clean, complete product data to work with.
What DataHub does
DataHub operates in three stages:
Ingestion: Vendably connects to your product source (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, a product file, or a custom API) and imports your catalogue. Changes sync automatically on a schedule or via real-time webhooks, so DataHub always reflects your current inventory.
Optimisation: Once imported, Vendably runs your catalogue through quality scoring, the Rules Engine, and enrichment to improve data completeness and accuracy. The Rules Engine lets you apply conditions and transformations to any product field, so the data reaching your channels is correct and well-structured.
Distribution: DataHub exports your optimised catalogue to destinations: Google Shopping feeds, marketplaces, affiliate networks, email platforms, and custom formats. Each destination gets the right format and field mapping for its requirements.
The feed health score
DataHub displays a feed quality score (0-100) for each connected source. This score measures how well your product data meets channel requirements. See Feed health score explained for a full breakdown of what the score measures and how to improve it.
How to get started
The first step is connecting your product source. Once a source is connected and your first import completes, DataHub populates the product catalogue and you can set up destinations to start distributing your data.
