Vendably generates JSON-LD structured data (schema.org) for every product in your catalogue automatically. Valid product schema helps Google surface rich results (star ratings, price, availability) in search, and helps AI search engines understand and categorise your products accurately. No configuration is required to start generating schema.

    What Vendably generates

For each product, Vendably produces a JSON-LD block containing:

    • Name, description, and URL
    • Price and currency
    • Availability (in stock, out of stock, pre-order)
    • Product images
    • Offers block (structured pricing data)
    • Aggregate rating (where review data is available)

Alongside the product schema, Vendably also generates a recommended meta description and a set of recommended keywords for each product. These are available for use in your storefront templates or via a DataHub destination.

    How it stays current

Vendably regenerates schema automatically on a nightly schedule and whenever a product changes in your catalogue. You do not need to trigger regeneration manually. If your prices, availability, or product details change, the schema reflects those changes within the next generation cycle.

How to publish schema to your storefront

Generated schema is available in two ways:

Via a DataHub destination: Vendably can export your product schema in JSON-LD format through a DataHub destination. This is the recommended route for storefronts with a product feed pipeline or a headless setup. See Setting up a destination for how to configure a destination and choose the JSON-LD output format.

Via storefront template injection: if your storefront renders product pages from a template, you can embed the JSON-LD output directly into the page <head>. The exact method depends on your storefront platform. Vendably provides the structured data; your template or theme is responsible for rendering it.

    Schema in Organic Search

A Schema view is available at /organic/schema/. This area will show coverage analytics (the percentage of products with valid schema, any schema issues detected, and which products are missing data) as that functionality becomes available. Schema generation itself is live and running for all products; the coverage reporting layer is not yet complete.

    Why schema matters

Google uses structured data to generate rich result features in search: product carousels, price drops, availability labels, and review stars. These features increase click-through rates for listed products. AI search engines use structured product data to understand what you sell and surface products in conversational and generative search responses. Well-formed, current schema is one of the most reliable technical signals you can send to both traditional and AI-powered search.
