    What you'll accomplish

This walkthrough guides you through launching your first Incremental Sales campaign. By the end, products that currently have no sales activity and no dedicated advertising spend will run in a managed Google Shopping or Performance Max campaign. Vendably will track conversions and revenue attributed specifically to this programme, giving you clear visibility of the incremental sales it generates.

    Prerequisites

Before you start, confirm you have the following in place:

    • An active Vendably platform subscription with access to the Channels section.
    • A connected Google Ads account in good standing, with no policy violations or account suspension.
    • A product catalogue that has been synced to Vendably with enough historical sales data for the platform to identify zero-sales and underperforming products. This typically requires at least 30 days of sales history.
    • Access to your Google Merchant Center account, as Vendably will provision a secondary sub-account to manage campaign feeds.

If you have not yet connected your Google Ads account or synced your product catalogue, complete those steps first. See connecting all your Google surfaces correctly for guidance.

Step 1: Navigate to the Incremental Sales section

Before: You are viewing the main Channels dashboard in Vendably.

After: You are in the Incremental Sales channel configuration area.

Log in to your Vendably account and go to Channels. You will see a list of available sales channels. Select Incremental Sales. The platform will load the Incremental Sales overview page, which shows your campaign status, product eligibility, and performance metrics once a campaign is live.

Step 2: Review the eligible products list

Before: You do not know which of your products Vendably has identified as candidates for the Incremental Sales programme.

After: You can see the full list of zero-sales and underperforming products that Vendably recommends for the campaign.

On the Incremental Sales page, look for the 'Eligible Products' section. Vendably displays products that meet the criteria for the programme: items with zero sales in the past 90 days, or products with sales history but minimal or no dedicated ad spend. The list shows each product's name, SKU, current stock level, and the reason it was identified as eligible.

Review this list to ensure the products are ones you want to advertise. If you see products that should not be included (for example, items that are out of stock or discontinued), note them. Most merchants find that the majority of eligible products are worth including, as these are items with real demand signals but no current visibility.

    Step 3: Confirm programme enrolment

Before: You have not yet opted into the Incremental Sales programme.

After: Your account is enrolled and Vendably is authorised to create and manage campaigns on your behalf.

On the Incremental Sales page, locate the 'Enrol in Incremental Sales' button or checkbox. Read the programme terms, which confirm that Vendably will create and manage Shopping and Performance Max campaigns, set bids automatically, and charge a performance-based fee (typically a percentage of attributed revenue). Once you have reviewed the terms, click to confirm enrolment. You will see a confirmation message and the status will change to 'Enrolled'.

Step 4: Allow Merchant Center sub-account provisioning

Before: Vendably does not have a dedicated Merchant Center sub-account to manage your campaign feeds.

After: Vendably has provisioned a secondary Merchant Center sub-account linked to your primary account and is ready to upload campaign-specific product feeds.

After enrolment, Vendably will prompt you to authorise the creation of a Merchant Center sub-account. This sub-account is managed entirely by Vendably and serves as a clean, dedicated space for the Incremental Sales campaign feeds. Click 'Authorise Sub-Account Creation'. You will be redirected to your Google Merchant Center to approve the link. Log in if needed, review the permissions request, and confirm. Once approved, you will be returned to Vendably and you will see a confirmation that the sub-account has been provisioned.

This step typically completes within a few minutes. Do not close the page until you see the confirmation.

Step 5: Monitor the first managed campaign

Before: No Incremental Sales campaign is running in your Google Ads account.

After: A managed campaign is active in your Google Ads account, and Vendably is reporting attributed conversions and revenue.

Once the sub-account is provisioned, Vendably begins building and launching the first campaign. This usually happens within 24 hours. The campaign will appear in your Google Ads account under a name such as 'Vendably Incremental Sales - [Your Store Name]'. You can view it in Google Ads, but do not make manual changes to bids, budgets, or product selections, as Vendably manages these automatically.

Return to the Incremental Sales dashboard in Vendably to monitor progress. You will see the campaign status change to 'Live' once it goes active. Initial metrics (impressions, clicks) may appear within hours. Conversions and revenue attribution will begin to show once the campaign has accumulated enough traffic to generate sales. This typically takes 3 to 7 days, depending on your product catalogue size and bid strategy.

    Checkpoint: What you should see

Once your campaign is live, the Incremental Sales programme dashboard will show the following:

    • Campaign Status: Displays 'Live' or 'Active'.
    • Eligible Products: The list of products included in the campaign, with their current status.
    • Performance Metrics: Once the campaign has generated conversions, you will see attributed conversions, attributed revenue, and cost per attributed conversion. These metrics are specific to the Incremental Sales programme and separate from your other Google Ads campaigns.
    • Bid and Budget Management: Vendably displays the automated bid strategy and daily budget allocation. You can view these but should not edit them directly.
    • Campaign Timeline: A log of campaign milestones, such as launch date and any status changes.

If you do not see an 'Active' status or any metrics after 7 days, check the following:

    • Confirm that the sub-account provisioning completed successfully by checking your Merchant Center linked accounts list.
    • Verify that your Google Ads account has no policy violations or spending limits that might prevent the campaign from running.
    • Ensure that your product catalogue is up to date and contains current stock levels and pricing.

If issues persist, contact Vendably support with your account ID and the date you enrolled.

    Next steps

Once your campaign is running and generating conversions, monitor the Incremental Sales dashboard weekly. Vendably optimises bids and product selection automatically, but you can review performance trends and adjust your product catalogue or pricing if needed. If you want to add new products to the campaign, ensure they have been synced to your Vendably catalogue and meet the eligibility criteria.

The Incremental Sales programme is designed to run continuously, so you do not need to restart or relaunch campaigns. Vendably will pause or remove products that no longer meet the eligibility criteria (for example, if they begin generating organic sales) and will add new eligible products as they appear in your catalogue.
