Overview
The content asset library is a centralised store for all product content that flows into your distribution channels. It holds AI-generated product titles and descriptions tailored to each channel, plus your image and video libraries. Every consuming feature—feed exports, advertising, email, social—draws from this single source of truth. This approach ensures consistency across channels and eliminates duplicate content creation work.
The library enforces channel-specific constraints automatically at generation time, so your content never exceeds character limits or violates platform rules. Brand voice settings apply to every generation call, so your tone, terminology, and style remain consistent without manual intervention on each product.
What the content asset library stores
The library contains three categories of content:
Product titles and descriptions per channel. When you generate content, the system creates channel-specific versions automatically. A single product generates one title for Google Shopping, a different title for Amazon, and another for TikTok, each respecting that channel's technical and stylistic requirements. Descriptions follow the same logic: one version for your feed export, another for email campaigns, another for social media.
Image library. Upload product images once. The system stores them centrally, resizes them per channel requirements, and applies optional background removal. Quality scoring happens automatically, so you know which images meet your standards before they reach a channel.
Video library. Store product videos in a single location. The library manages playback and distribution to channels that support video content.
All three categories feed into your feed exports, ad creative generation, email campaigns, and social media content. When you update an image or regenerate a title, every downstream feature sees the change immediately.
Channel-specific constraints and automatic enforcement
Different channels impose different limits on product content. Rather than requiring you to manually shorten or rewrite titles for each platform, the system enforces these limits at generation time.
| Channel | Title limit | Description limit | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Shopping | Approximately 150 characters | Approximately 5,000 characters | Titles that exceed the limit are truncated; descriptions can be longer |
| Amazon | 200 characters | Varies by category; typically 2,000 characters | Amazon enforces strict formatting rules |
| TikTok | 80 characters | 2,200 characters | Short titles reflect TikTok's mobile-first, attention-grabbing style |
| Feed exports (general) | Configurable | Configurable | Your feed schema determines limits |
When you trigger content generation, the AI respects these limits automatically. You do not need to manually edit titles after generation to fit a channel. If a product name is too long for TikTok's 80-character limit, the generation process creates a shorter, semantically equivalent title that fits. This saves time and reduces approval friction.
Brand voice configuration
Brand voice settings define how all AI-generated content sounds and reads. Configure these settings once, and every title, description, and piece of generated content follows them automatically.
Brand voice includes:
- Brand name. Your company or product line name, used consistently in generated content.
- Tagline. A short phrase that represents your brand promise or value proposition.
- Tone adjectives. Words that describe how your brand communicates: professional, playful, minimalist, premium, casual, technical, etc.
- Words to avoid. Terms you do not want in any generated content, such as competitor names, outdated terminology, or words that conflict with your brand values.
- Preferred reading level. The complexity of language: simple (8th grade), standard (12th grade), or advanced (university level). This ensures your descriptions are accessible to your target audience.
Only Owner-level permissions can modify brand voice settings. This restriction prevents inconsistent brand messaging across your organisation. Once configured, every generation call—whether for a single product or a bulk job of 1,000 products—applies the same voice settings.
Example: If your brand voice is set to 'premium, minimalist, avoid jargon', a generated title for a wool sweater might read 'Pure Merino Wool Crew Neck' rather than 'High-Performance Thermal Merino Wool Crew Neck with Moisture-Wicking Technology'.
Bulk content generation
You can generate titles and descriptions for multiple products in a single operation, rather than one product at a time. This is tracked as a background job, so you can trigger generation and continue working while the system processes the batch.
Bulk generation workflow:
- Navigate to the Content area of the dashboard.
- Select the products you want to generate content for, or apply a filter (e.g., all products missing a description, all products in a specific category).
- Choose which channels you want content for (Google Shopping, Amazon, TikTok, email, etc.).
- Click 'Generate Content'.
- The system queues the job and runs it in the background. You can check the status of the job at any time.
- Once complete, all generated titles and descriptions appear in the library, ready for review and approval.
Bulk generation respects your brand voice settings and channel constraints automatically. A batch job for 500 products generates 500 Google Shopping titles (each under 150 characters), 500 Amazon titles (each under 200 characters), and 500 descriptions, all in one operation.
Image library features
The image library manages product images from upload to distribution. Key features include:
Upload and centralised storage. Upload images once. The library stores them in a single location, accessible to all downstream features.
Automatic resizing per channel. Different channels require different image dimensions. Google Shopping prefers 1200 x 1500 pixels; Instagram prefers 1080 x 1080; TikTok prefers 1080 x 1920. The system resizes your uploaded images automatically for each channel, so you do not need to create multiple versions manually.
Optional background removal. Remove product backgrounds automatically. This is useful for marketplaces and social channels where a clean, isolated product image performs better. Background removal is optional; you can keep original backgrounds if your brand requires them.
Automated quality scoring. The system scores each image on clarity, composition, lighting, and relevance. Quality scores help you identify which images meet your standards before they reach a channel. Low-scoring images can be flagged for re-shooting or replacement without waiting for channel feedback.
For detailed information on image hosting, resizing, and channel-specific requirements, see product image hosting and channel compliance via the CDN.
Location and access
The content asset library lives in the Content area of the dashboard. From here, you can:
- View all stored titles, descriptions, images, and videos.
- Generate new content in bulk or for individual products.
- Edit existing content.
- Approve or reject generated content before it flows to channels.
- Configure brand voice settings.
- Monitor the status of background generation jobs.
Permissions and approval workflow
Access to the content library and generation features is controlled by role:
| Action | Required role | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Configure brand voice | Owner | Only owners can set tone, tagline, words to avoid, and reading level |
| Generate content | Editor or above | Editors, Admins, and Owners can trigger generation |
| Edit generated content | Editor or above | Editors can refine titles and descriptions after generation |
| Approve and publish | Admin or Owner | Only Admins and Owners can approve content for distribution to channels |
| View content library | Viewer or above | All roles can view the library, but only Editor+ can modify |
This structure balances autonomy with consistency. Editors can generate and refine content, but Admins and Owners control what reaches your channels, ensuring no off-brand or incorrect content is published.
How generated assets flow to consuming features
Once content is approved in the library, it flows automatically to every feature that consumes it:
- Feed exports. When you export a product feed to Google Shopping, Amazon, or another channel, the system pulls approved titles and descriptions from the library. If a product has a channel-specific title, that version is used; otherwise, a default version is selected.
- Advertising. Ad creative generation tools draw from the library to populate product titles, descriptions, and images in ad campaigns.
- Email campaigns. Email marketing features pull product descriptions and images from the library for product recommendation emails and newsletters.
- Social media. Social content creation tools use library titles, descriptions, and images to generate posts for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
Because all these features draw from the same library, updating a product image or regenerating a title updates it everywhere at once. This eliminates the risk of inconsistent or outdated content across channels.
What success looks like
Successful use of the content asset library and AI generation results in:
Brand voice configured once, applied everywhere. You set your tone, tagline, and terminology once during setup. Every generated title and description reflects your brand voice automatically, with no manual adjustment required.
Bulk-generated content that passes channel requirements. You generate titles and descriptions for 100, 1,000, or 10,000 products in a single job. Every title respects channel character limits. Every description meets platform guidelines. Content arrives channel-ready, eliminating the need for manual editing or rejection cycles.
Consistent assets across channels. A customer sees the same product image, a complementary title, and a relevant description whether they encounter your product on Google Shopping, Amazon, TikTok, or an email campaign. This consistency builds trust and reduces confusion.
Faster time to market. Content generation that once took hours or days per product now takes minutes for hundreds of products. Your team spends less time writing and formatting, and more time on strategy and optimisation.
Reduced approval friction. Because generated content respects brand voice and channel constraints automatically, approval cycles are shorter. Admins review fewer rejected submissions and spend less time on rework.
Better channel performance. Content that meets platform requirements and reflects your brand voice performs better. Listings are less likely to be rejected or flagged for non-compliance. Ad creative is more relevant and engaging. Email open rates and click-through rates improve.
Next steps
To get started with the content asset library:
- Have an Owner configure your brand voice settings in the Content area.
- Upload product images to the image library and enable background removal if appropriate.
- Select a subset of products and trigger bulk content generation for one channel (e.g., Google Shopping).
- Review generated titles and descriptions. Approve or request edits.
- Once approved, monitor how the content performs on that channel.
- Expand generation to additional channels and products as you become familiar with the workflow.
The library is designed to improve with use. As you approve and refine generated content, the system learns your preferences and generates better matches over time.
