Week 28 2026: Account fixes, knowledge base expansion, and CSS insights
This week brought fixes to account reconnection and email reliability, expanded the knowledge base across the whole platform, and added smarter insights to the CSS dashboard.
Overview
Week 28 brought stability improvements to account linking, a major expansion of the knowledge base, and a series of enhancements to the CSS dashboard that help you spot pricing and performance issues at a glance. Several operational fixes also reduce friction in campaign setup and shipping management.
Account linking and connection reliability
Two fixes this week address issues merchants faced when connecting or reconnecting accounts.
When you reconnect a previously unlinked platform account, syncing and other work on that account now resumes automatically instead of staying silently paused. Before this fix, reconnection would appear to succeed but the account would remain inactive until you manually triggered a sync.
Newly connected accounts no longer receive repeated "connection revoked" emails while waiting to be linked to a store. The connection now stays healthy and links itself once its accounts are discovered. This prevents the false alarm of seeing revocation notices for accounts that are working normally.
Action: If you have accounts that were previously disconnected or are awaiting store linking, check your account connections to confirm they are now syncing properly. You should not see any pending connection alerts.
Knowledge base now covers the whole platform
The knowledge base has expanded beyond product feeds to cover advertising, SEO, reviews, analytics, and content. This means you will find guides for every part of Vendably, not just feed setup.
Three fixes this week make the knowledge base more usable. Glossary, academy and playbook article links now open correctly instead of showing page not found errors. The "Browse all guides" link on the knowledge base home now opens a full browsable index of every published guide, rather than jumping into a single category. Search suggestions no longer get cut off at the edge of the banner, so the full list of matching articles is visible as you type.
Product announcements now sit alongside the weekly roundup in one updates section on the knowledge base, so you can catch up on new capabilities and what shipped each week in a single place. An RSS feed is available if you prefer to follow updates in your own reader.
Action: Bookmark the knowledge base home and check back regularly. If you have shared internal documentation links with your team, verify they still work; most will, but some old links may have changed.
Shipping and returns policies in one place
Your shipping settings and returns policies now live in one place in Vendably. Connect Google Merchant Centre and we import them automatically. Edit them in Vendably and we publish the change to every connected Google account for you.
If your policies are changed directly in Google Merchant Centre, Vendably now spots the difference and asks which version to keep, then brings every account back in line. This prevents silent conflicts between Vendably and your Google accounts.
Deleting your last shipping profile now warns you first and asks you to confirm, because it clears the shipping settings on your connected Google accounts. This prevents accidental loss of critical shipping data.
Action: Review your shipping settings in Vendably to confirm they match what you have in Google Merchant Centre. If you manage multiple accounts, use Vendably as your single source of truth going forward; changes made here will sync to all connected Google accounts.
Campaign setup now matches what your ad platform supports
When creating or editing an advertising campaign, the budget, bidding and campaign type options now automatically match what your chosen ad platform actually supports. You no longer see choices that would fail when you try to save.
Action: If you have draft campaigns that failed to save in the past, try creating them again; they should now succeed.
OpenAI Ads and ChatGPT campaigns
You can now connect an OpenAI Ads account with your API key, send your product feed to OpenAI Commerce over SFTP, and create conversational chat-card campaigns for ChatGPT, all from within Vendably.
Action: If you want to reach customers on ChatGPT, set up OpenAI Ads in your account connections and configure your feed export.
Search indexing now recovers automatically
Onsite search indexing now recovers automatically if an index build is interrupted. Previously an interrupted build could leave the index showing "indexing in progress" indefinitely; it is now detected within minutes and can be retried straight away.
Action: If your search index is stuck, wait a few minutes and refresh. If it still shows as building, contact support.
CSS dashboard: smarter insights and clearer status
The CSS dashboard received several improvements this week.
| Update | What it does | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing insights | Flags when a meaningful share of your products are priced above the market average on Google Shopping, with a count and explanation | Review flagged products and adjust pricing if needed |
| Growth recognition | Shows a positive insight card when your CSS savings are growing month on month, rather than only surfacing problems | No action needed; this is recognition of good performance |
| CPC calculation labels | Every CSS savings figure now shows a one-line label explaining how the estimate was calculated (your pre-CSS average, live Google Ads Shopping CPC from the last 30 days, or platform benchmark) | Use these labels to understand which savings figures apply to your account |
| Specific issue cards | Surfaces smarter cards for product disapprovals on Google Shopping or out-of-stock products consuming Shopping impressions, with counts and actions to fix them, updated each morning | Act on specific issues when you see them |
| Clear onboarding status | Shows a clear message when your account is connected and Google data is on its way, so you know what to expect in the first 24 to 72 hours after switching. Accounts with issues such as a suspension or pending Google review now see a specific callout straight away | If you see a specific issue callout, follow the steps provided or contact support |
| Simplified navigation for CSS-only accounts | If CSS is your only Vendably product, the navigation shows just what you use: the CSS view is your home, without empty menus for features you have not switched on | No action needed; this is automatic |
The CSS signup completion screen now explains upfront what Vendably can and cannot see after your switch goes live, and how to connect your data when you are ready. Your CPC saving works immediately either way.
If your CSS switch is live but Vendably cannot yet see your Merchant Center data, your dashboard now tells you exactly how to connect it, and we send you a one-off email with the same steps. Connect your Google account in Account Connections, or add our access email as a CSS user in Merchant Center, and your performance data appears.
Action: Log in to your CSS dashboard and review the new insight cards. If you see specific issues flagged, prioritise them. If your account shows a pending data connection, follow the on-screen steps to complete it.
Reviews: They Vouch public pages redesigned
The public pages your customers use to submit, edit, and report reviews now carry the They Vouch brand, with a calmer, clearer design and a star rating that keeps its selection when a form is re-checked.
Action: Share your review submission link with customers if you have not already. The new design should improve submission rates.
Agencies: CSS setup for client stores
Agencies can now start CSS setup for their client stores directly from the CSS page and the agencies page. A visible link takes you straight into the bulk client setup flow, no hand-typed URL needed.
Action: If you manage CSS for multiple clients, use the new setup link to streamline onboarding.
Summary
This week focused on stability, clarity, and expanding what you can do within Vendably. Account reconnection now works reliably, the knowledge base covers the whole platform, and the CSS dashboard gives you smarter, more actionable insights. Review your account connections, bookmark the knowledge base, and check your CSS dashboard for new insights cards that may need action.
