Vendably detects gaps and opportunities in your store from the cross-channel signals it collects and surfaces them as a prioritised list. Each finding includes supporting evidence, an explanation written by Able, and a recommended action so you know what to do next.
What Vendably detects
Vendably detects 22 gap types spanning both risk gaps and positive insights. Risk gaps highlight problems that may be costing you revenue or exposure. Positive insights highlight products or situations where you have an advantage worth acting on.
Examples of the types of finding Vendably surfaces include:
- Stock risk: a product with significant demand signals may be at risk of running out of stock.
- Conversion gap: a product is attracting traffic but converting at a lower rate than expected.
- Paid waste: advertising spend is being allocated to products that are underperforming on relevant signals.
- SEO opportunity: a product has organic potential that is not yet being fully realised.
- Top performer: a product is performing strongly across multiple signals.
- Organic winner: a product is gaining significant organic traction.
These are examples only. Vendably determines which gaps are active based on your live signal data.
Where gaps appear
The full gaps list is at /intelligence/gaps/ and can be filtered by severity. Each gap has a detail view showing the supporting evidence, an Able-written explanation of why this gap was flagged, and a recommended action.
The Intelligence dashboard at /intelligence/ shows a roll-up of your active gaps, including a count of critical gaps requiring prompt attention.
Severity levels
Every gap carries a severity rating: critical, high, medium, or low. Severity helps you prioritise which gaps to review first. The gaps list at /intelligence/gaps/ is filterable by severity so you can focus on the most pressing findings.
Reviewing and dismissing gaps
When you review a gap, you can act on the recommended action or dismiss the gap if it is not relevant to your situation. Dismissing requires you to provide a reason, which helps Vendably understand your context over time. Users with Editor role or above can dismiss gaps and export the gaps list.
Order feed and gap accuracy
Gaps that draw on order-derived signals use Google Analytics 4 data as a fallback when no order feed (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or file) is connected. In that case order-related gaps run at daily granularity and customer-level evidence is limited.
