Vendably classifies every product in your catalogue into a lifecycle stage based on signals from across your connected channels. The classification lets you see the shape of your catalogue at a glance and focus attention where it is most needed.

    The six lifecycle stages

Vendably assigns each product one of six stages:

Emerging: the product is new or recently gaining traction. Signal volume is building.

Growing: the product shows positive momentum across key signals. Performance is on an upward trend.

Consistent: the product is performing at a stable level. Signals are steady without strong movement in either direction.

Declining: the product's signals are moving downward. Performance is deteriorating across one or more dimensions.

Stale: the product has seen little recent signal activity. It may need attention to reactivate interest.

Dormant: the product has very low or no recent signal activity. It is largely inactive across tracked channels.

    Where the classification appears

A product's lifecycle stage appears on its per-product intelligence view, reachable from the Intelligence dashboard at /intelligence/ or from the product list. The Intelligence dashboard also shows the distribution of stages across your full catalogue, giving you a store-wide view of how your products are spread across the lifecycle.

How often Vendably recomputes the classification

Vendably recomputes lifecycle classifications on its regular intelligence run. The classification updates automatically; you do not need to trigger it manually.

    Order feed and signal quality

Lifecycle classification draws on the same signals as the broader cross-channel pipeline. When no order feed (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or file) is connected, order-derived signals fall back to Google Analytics 4 data, which runs at daily granularity. This can affect how quickly changes in order performance are reflected in the classification.
